NEW RELEASES FROM TWO OF THE GREATS – TONY HILLIER’S WORLD OF MUSIC

Two of America’s most endearing and enduring troubadours have simultaneously released two of the strongest records of their respective careers 44 years after their debut albums. Loudon Wainwright III and Chris Smither share other characteristics and qualities. Both are uncompromising and committed singer-songwriters whose consummate blues, country and folk-flavoured compositions record life’s absurdities, injustices, vicissitudes et al with wit and wisdom, candour and concision and an ear for poetic rhyme. In this week’s World of Music, TONY HILLIER picks the eyes out of their respective new releases, Haven’t Got The Blues (Yet) and Still On The Levee.

PLAY LIST

Depression Blues from Loudon Wainwright III’s new album Haven’t Got The Blues (Yet)

Love You Like A Man Chris Smither Still On The Levee
