It’s 60 years since Dr No, the first James Bond film.
It’s theme music is instantly recognisable, and has been reprised in many subsequent 007 movie themes.
The music is as big a part of the success of the Bond franchise as the stories, with each new film featuring a new blockbuster theme from one of the big stars of the day.
But who wrote that very first Bond theme? Well, there’s some Indian music in its ancestry, and a famous Caribbean writer had a hand in it.
