THE ABC KIMBERLEY CRAB DASH CUP – A BRAND NEW VENERABLE TRADITION

04 Nov

It’s a historic day at ABC Kimberley – with the running (or is that scuttling) of the first ever Kimberley Crab Dash Cup. They call it the race that stops the crustacean nation. Hermit crabs named for past Melbourne Cup winners did the dash in a very competitive field – the winner in a photo finish was Nimble Foot – named for the 1870 cup winner. It’s a very Kimberley way to get involved in the Melbourne Cup – but as our stewards discovered, the contestants need to be carefull handled.
