Two major events involving music this weekend – Australia Day and the 2014 Grammy Awards.
There’s plenty of good music to be had over the holiday long weekend around far north Queensland – with the enduringly popular Snake Gully playing at the Yorkey’s Knob family day in Cairns. And long term FNQ favourites Mangrove Jack are playing at Brothers Leagues Club Cairns on Australia Day afternoon after a Saturday night gig at the Lake Eacham hotel.
There are 82 separate award categories in the Grammys – one performer to watch in the folk category is the gifted US singer songwriter Guy Clark.
Music from all three acts on this week’s Tony Hillier’s World of Music
Coyote Guy Clark 2013 album My Favourite Picture Of You
