SOLAR ECLIPSE 2012 – WE’RE AT PALMER RIVER FNQ

SIGN OF THE TIMES MULLIGAN HWY FNQ

Your ABC Far North crew is standing by at the Palmer River Roadhouse for the 2012 total solar eclipse. We’re right under the centreline of the path the eclipse will take crossing Cape York Peninsula. And we’re at the point where the totality, the complete blocking of the sun, will be longest.

We have eclipse chasers camped alongside us who’ve seen dozens of these events, and they’re excited by this one. And across the road, we have ten thousand neighbours, who’ve come from all over the planet for a very cosmic dance music festival.
