I love the game of cricket. But to play it for real, you need 22 players, two umpires, equipment, fair weather and a large park. It can’t always be done.

What if you could distill the essence of cricket into something you could carry in your pocket and play anywhere, whenever the mood takes you?

Hamish Sterling has done just that. You hear Hamish doing the traffic reports on ABC Far North. In his spare time he’s come up with Pocket Cricket.

The game is played with six dice, three each for the batsman and the bowler. The dice cover all the likely combinations of possibilities that make cricket so intriguing. You can get through an epic Test Match struggle in a quarter of an hour.
